This is the second-to-last weekend of our extended vacation over here in Ireland. Given the time difference, our busy schedule and the number of clues in a Sunday puzzle, I think it unlikely that I will get to the lookups today. As a result, I am just posting the essentials. I apologize for the inconvenience, and promise that normal Sunday service will be resumed shortly!

  1. Hi Bill,

I still don't get "At Staples Center, briefly." I've googled extensively, but have found no defunct teams or leagues with the acronym INLA.

    Can you offer an explanation?

    Thanks.

  2. Hi there, Mark.

The Staples Center is in Los Angeles, so if you're at the Staples Center you are "in LA" (with "Los Angeles" written briefly).
